I am a vintage watch collector in a small way (heuer autavia, hamilton chrono-matic, breitling sprint, couple of 50s/60s omega seamasters, etc.) and have just made an ebay . I have a Sprint from the 1970's that I have had for a while and I am thinking about selling it. It runs perfectly but it has a slight problem, the chrono function sticks occasionally, . I am curious for y’all’s opinion on a watch being marketed in an auction as a Breitling Sprint circa 1940s. I am certainly aware of the Breitling Sprint models — I have one . The resin case holds up quite well, the Valjoux 7733 is among the most reliable movements of all, produced in huge quantities (2 million plus) between 1969 and 1978, actually based on the Venus 188; spare parts are readily available, a true workhorse, though maybe not the most beautiful movement.

For those of you who know the 1970's Sprint - it is quite a difficult shape and has quite a narrow strap width. Consequently most straps look far to small for the watch or just don't stand out properly. In most cases, a quality leather strap will do just fine ( Fred matches his particularly well !!) but for this watch it just wasn't working.
